South West – Portishead

What to expect

Restored Lives Portishead is run by volunteers from Gordano Valley Church. The course is designed to give help and support, as well as practical tools, for people to get through and recover from a relationship breakdown including separation and divorce.
Its aim is to help people come to terms with the past and make a fresh start in a friendly and supportive environment. All are very welcome, whatever stage you are at, considering divorce, separated, divorced, not married.

We are supported by Gordano Valley Church but the course is for people of all faiths and none. The course content is not religious in nature but for those wishing to explore faith issues relating to divorce there will be space to look at these aspects.
We usually run on a Tuesday evening from 7.00pm until around 9.00pm. Refreshments are included.

What does the course cover?
• Facing the effects of separation and divorce
• Good communication
• Resolving conflict
• Forgiveness
• Legal aspects
• Parenting issues
