What to expect
Restored Lives in Brighton is known as the Divorce & Separation Recovery course. It is for any person who is divorced, separated, or who is currently going through a divorce. It is a practical course with a confidential and supportive environment to discuss the challenges they may be facing and find tools to deal with these effectively.
Each evening begins with supper followed by a talk, with opportunities for discussion in small groups. The small groups are led by people who have gone through a divorce themselves. The setting is welcoming, relaxed and unthreatening. Topics covered include:
Facing the effects of separation and divorce
The importance of good communication
Divorce – the legal issues
Moving forward with hope

Cost: The cost of the course is £40 per person which covers the cost of 6 meals plus course materials (on the 7th week we will go out for dinner in Brighton). Bursaries are available so please don’t let cost deter you from joining us.

PLEASE NOTE If you are seeing a therapist or taking medication prescribed by your doctor, please discuss your participation in this course with them. The material addresses the hard issues that arise because of separation and divorce and may be challenging.
While many people find a group environment helpful and supportive, it may not be appropriate for everyone. If you have any concerns about this, please contact the course administrator. Also if getting a babysitter is proving a problem please still get in touch as we may be able to help.
